Lake Iseo, unlike its neighbours of Lake Garda and Lake Como does not have the range of villas available, either as homes or rentals or for that growing band of potential owners from both Eastern Europe and Asia.
A quick search on Google reveals that Casamundo, Holiday Rentals and Trip Advisor do have a number for holiday rental apparently. This actually reveals some clever word placements and the volume of villas is very small and most searches are actually apartments and in addition the clever misnomer of villas would actually be houses in most peoples eyes. None can be found on the water edge, the most desirable location.
There are some units for sale right on the waters edge on this properties for sale site and some tucked away but the selection is limted and hence the flow over in rentals even more so.
About 1.5hrs away by car is Lake Como and this has a much richer heritage of wealthy visitors, is a larger lake and recognised as being more spectacular and a tourist destination. Here there are a wide diversity of public and private villas, with well known gardens such as Villas Carlotta, or the beautiful Villa Balbianello, then there are the private villas such as thay owned by George Clooney at Laglio or the ultimate rental of Villa Casinella. The best villas can be seen by boat or air only, so if you go hire a boat for the day and dream of what life could be like!
If you have the money and want to stay at a lakeside villa you will find a much bigger selection here. For more information visit Lake Como Villas site for details
